Experienced Instruction
A comprehensive and engaging ground school is an integral part of any flight training program and our class, taught by former high school teacher Christopher Georgas, is one of the finest. Chris (BA,MA,BC ED), Pacific Rim Aviation’s owner/operator, is a 4000 hour pilot with 37 years of teaching experience and he runs both of our ground school locations.
Chris consistently brings his infectious enthusiasm to the classroom and teaches his organized syllabus in such a way as to emphasize valuable lessons to be learned, not just facts and figures. Topics vary from Theory of Flight and Aircraft Structure and Systems to Meteorology, Navigation and Canadian Air Law. The Human Factors affecting us all as pilots are taught throughout the course and are given emphasis in a separate module.
