A comprehensive and engaging ground school is an integral part of any flight training program and our class, taught by former high school teacher Christopher Georgas, is one of the finest. Chris (BA,MA,BC ED), Pacific Rim Aviation’s owner/operator, is a 4000 hour pilot with 37 years of teaching experience and he runs both of our ground school locations.
Chris consistently brings his infectious enthusiasm to the classroom and teaches his organized syllabus in such a way as to emphasize valuable lessons to be learned, not just facts and figures. Topics vary from Theory of Flight and Aircraft Structure and Systems to Meteorology, Navigation and Canadian Air Law. The Human Factors affecting us all as pilots are taught throughout the course and are given emphasis in a separate module.
Just $599.00 incl. tax gets you unlimited access to our Private Pilot Ground School – a 60 hour cycle that goes above and beyond the Transport Canada required 40 hours – as well as your Private Pilot Kit that contains everything you’ll need to get started. Click Here to see what’s in the Private Pilot Kit.
By bringing the ground school closer to you – through our Urban Ground School in North Vancouver – we save you travel time, money and energy and allow you to focus on learning, not the traffic.
Our “Spitfire Wing” of the ground school meets on Monday from 7pm to 10pm at our Pitt Meadows Airport location; The “Urban Ground School” meets on Tuesday nights at our North Vancouver location on Marine Drive.
